Home Delivery Service
If your establishment does not have a home delivery service, the Lisbon City Council responded positively to the support provided by several operators, home delivery services that allow local commercial establishments to implement this service in their respective neighborhood, with one or more of participating transport operators, while the state of emergency is in force and under the conditions defined by each of them.
The home delivery service is managed by the trader and allows there to be no social contact between the consumer and the carrier.

Special conditions for SMEs when creating online stores
CTT – Correios de Portugal, Lisbon City Council and the Union of Commerce and Services Associations (UACS) have established a partnership that aims to support commerce in the rapid and effective adoption of new digital sales channels as an alternative to traditional sales channels , accelerating the digitalization of your business.
Within the scope of this partnership, conditions are created to support companies and, in particular, commerce in the Municipality of Lisbon, through investment in digital channels as an alternative to traditional sales channels.
CTT, aware of the critical role it plays in supporting the sustainability of the Portuguese economy and society in the current context, offers preferential conditions in several services.
In Create Online Stores, a service that allows companies to create online stores without needing technical knowledge of website development, through an intuitive and friendly web interface, CTT is offering a monthly fee for the store plan, in addition to not charging any commissions for sales the company makes in its online store, until June 30th.
This solution allows automatic integration with CTT’s shipping systems from the beginning. It has a technical support line via chat, email or telephone to clarify doubts and support the store creation process.
Customer Opt-in Procedures
A company to create its online store must:
- Register at https://www.ctt.pt/empresas/solucoes-setoriais/lojas-online-ctt/ .
- Once the store account has been created, the customer is provided with a quick guide with a set of steps to follow (product creation, appearance definition, shipping table and choosing and contracting the payment methods you want to offer to your customers) with to be able to publish your store and start selling online.
- The company also offers as an optional service, among others, the ability to link your store to your Facebook or Instagram page.
- After publishing your store, and as soon as you receive an order, and after confirming the respective payment, the retailer can immediately carry out the shipment automatically through the integration that the platform has with CTT.
